While exploring the map of Hogwarts Legacy, players will come across Treasure Vaults. Exploring the Treasure Vaults will reward players with Gear, so it’s best to make sure there are empty slots in the inventory before embarking on this adventure. However, players who have already completed the Merlin Trials in Hogwarts Legacy won’t have to worry about this, as they will have 40 slots in their inventory.
The Manor Cape region is especially challenging and is best explored by players at level 25 or higher, as it contains complex puzzles and tough enemies.
Updated on August 28th, 2023: There are quite a few treasure vaults for players to uncover in the area of Manor Cape in Hogwarts Legacy. All of these vaults are locked and some feature tricky puzzles to open. To better help players in solving the Manor Cape vaults scattered throughout the area in Hogwarts Legacy, the following guide has been updated with a video that showcases the solution for each vault and what’s inside.
Manor Cape Treasure Vaults And How To Open Them In Hogwarts Legacy
There are a total of six Treasure Vaults in Hogwarts Legacy. While solving a puzzle, players will encounter some enchanted cubes, each of which has a symbol indicating which spell to use.
Treasure Vault #1
To find the first Manor Cape Treasure Vault, head southeast of Bainburgh Floo Flame. From the hill above it, locate the enchanted cube and guide it to its platform by casting the Wingardium Leviosa spell. Activate it by using Levioso on the cube to open the Treasure Vault door.
Once inside, ignite the enhanced cube with a fire spell, like Incendio, and use Wingardium Leviosa to lift it to its platform on the ceiling, which is next to the locked door. Behind this door, lies a chest containing a Gear in Hogwarts Legacy.
Treasure Vault #2
The second Treasure Vault in Manor Cape can be found southwest of Cragcroft Shore Hamlet. To unlock it, locate the enchanted cube situated to the east near a Cottongrass Dugbog. Cast Wingardium Leviosa to levitate the cube back to its platform, then use Levioso to open the vault.
Inside the vault, players will find a normal cube. Using Wingardium Leviosa on the cube will cause the ground level to rise, allowing players to climb and claim the treasure.
Treasure Vault #3
The third Treasure Vault is located east of the West Manor Cape Floo Flame, right next to a Merlin Trial in Hogwarts Legacy. However, the vault is guarded by Poacher Trackers, so players need to face them before opening the vault.
Afterward, opening the door requires activating two mechanisms by casting Depulso four times on each.
The cave’s interior contains a puzzle that demands the use of Wingardium Leviosa to levitate the cube and place it in its proper position with the arrow symbol pointing down. Once the puzzle has been solved, the treasure’s door will be opened, and players can claim their reward.
Treasure Vault #4
The fourth Treasure Vault in Hogwarts Legacy is next to a landing platform north of the West Manor Cape waypoint. Upon arrival, use Accio to pull the lever next to the vault’s door and enter the cave. Inside, players need to defeat an Inferius before proceeding.
The cave’s walls will have 12 levers connected to three locked doors, but only one of them hides a Gear chest. Six random levers are needed to open the treasure cell. As a result, players must use Revelio to highlight the correct levers and pull them by casting Accio.
Treasure Vault #5
To locate the fifth Treasure Vault, teleport to the West Manor Cape Floo Flame and head south. The vault can be found directly under a small bridge without the need to solve a puzzle.
Once inside, players should use any fire spell in Hogwarts Legacy to burn away the spider’s webs and defeat the spiders guarding the chest. Next, burn the webs surrounding the chest to get a Gear.
Treasure Vault #6
The sixth Treasure Vault can be found on the shore, west of Henrietta’s Hideaway. However, the entrance to the vault is blocked, so players should head west to the bridge next to it to dive into the vortex and enter the vault.
Once inside, cast Depulso multiple times on the mechanism to move the rocks, which will create a climbing platform to reach the chest containing a Gear in Hogwarts Legacy.
All Necessary Spells To Unlock Manor Cape Treasure Vaults In Hogwarts Legacy
There are not as many Treasure Vaults in Manor Cape as in the other Regions in Hogwarts Legacy.
Wingardium Leviosa
The trick to learn Wingardium Leviosa in Hogwarts Legacy is to complete Professor Garlick’s Assignment 1 Quest by finishing some tasks. Players will have to head to Dogweed & Deathcap in Hogsmeade to purchase certain plants. Once inside the shop, purchase Venomous Tentacula and a Mandrake for later.
Upon triggering a battle with some Poachers or Goblins, use the Venomous Tentacula and the Mandrake to complete the tasks. Return to the Herbology Professor and learn the Levitation Spell.
Levioso
There are no extra tasks to do if players wish to learn Levioso. That’s because Professor Hecat teaches the Spell in one of the Defense Against the Dark Arts classes. So, Students only need to pay attention.
Depulso
Similar to Wingardium Leviosa, players must complete some tasks to learn Depulso. However, the Assignment belongs to Professor Sharp rather than Professor Garlick. As for the required tasks, Students need to purchase or brew a Focus, Maxima, and Edurus Potions.
The goal is to use the Focus Potion alone and then drink Maxima and Edurus together to finish the tasks in Hogwarts Legacy. Return to the Potion Master and perfect Depulso to complete Professor Sharp’s Assignment 1 Quest.
Accio
While Accio is great in combat, the Spell also serves a purpose in puzzle-solving. Students can use Accio to pull items towards or away from them. There’s not much of a secret on how to learn Accio since learning the Spell is part of the Main Quest.
Fire Spells
Fire Spells can be used in many methods such as completing Brazier Puzzles in Merlin Trial, unlocking a Field Guide Page, and fighting a horde of enemies. The Spells are also cast to ignite enchanted cubes or burn any webs blocking Manor Cape Treasure Vaults in Hogwarts Legacy.
