Pokemon Fan Gives Eevee a Disney-Inspired Makeover | Games Rants

  • Eevee, a beloved Pokemon, has inspired fans to create their own evolutions and fan art, with one artist giving Eevee a Disney-style makeover.
  • Pokemon fans praised the artist’s Disney-fied Eevee drawing, comparing it to classic animated films and commending their versatile drawing style.
  • While Eevee has multiple evolution forms, fans might have to wait for a new one in the next generation of Pokemon games, unless a surprise is in store.

A creative Pokemon fan has given Eevee a Disney-inspired makeover. The Generation 1 Pokemon has long been a fan-favorite because of its cute fox-like appearance and its unique multiple evolution forms.

So far, Eevee has a total of eight evolutions that span different elements and types. It also has a Gigantamax form in Pokemon Sword and Shield, and most recently, a Tera form in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. As the Pokemon franchise progresses, some fans have created their own Eeveelutions that might fit future generations. Of course, there are still longtime Pokemon fans that still create art inspired by Eevee’s base form, which are equally adorable.

One such fan art comes from Pokemon fan grapemunxher, who made a Disney-inspired Eevee. They shared their creation in the Pokemon subreddit, which showed Eevee drawn in a different art style that’s reminiscent of classic Disney movies, like Bambi and Winnie the Pooh. There’s also a Leaf Stone right next to the Pokemon, which would mean that it’s ready to evolve into a Leafeon.

In the comments, many Pokemon fans praised grapemunxher’s work, with one saying that the Disney-fied Eevee drawing made their day. Another user said that their drawing reminded them of Don Bluth’s work, who’s known for classic animated films like An American Tail and The Land Before Time. Meanwhile, some also took a look at grapemunxher’s other artworks, and commended their versatile drawing style as they reimagined other video game characters like Freddy and Bonnie from Five Nights at Freddy’s.

Pokemon and Disney have many memorable characters, so it’s no surprise that fans of both franchises might use them as references for their reimagined characters. In the past, one artist drew a number of Pokemon in the style of Lilo and Stitch, while another turned Mulan into a Pokemon trainer. Many fans have also compared some Pokemon to Disney characters, like Quaxly with Donald Duck.

Pokemon is currently at Generation 9, which showcases a new set of creatures in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The games’ upcoming DLC The Teal Mask recently introduced a new regional fake named Poltchageist, which is a Polteageist that looks like a haunted matcha caddy. As for a new Eeveelution in this generation, Pokemon fans might not get one apart from its Tera form. Its last evolution, Sylveon, was introduced way back in Generation 6, so it might take a while for the next one to be introduced. Unless, of course, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet drop a surprise in the future.
